  • 🚨 Did you know that dieting and imposter syndrome can be closely linked? 🤯🍴 

Imposter syndrome may be more common among high-achieving women due to societal and cultural pressures, stereotypes, and biases. It can make us feel unworthy of achievement or like we don't measure up or not enough, which can result in self-doubt and negative self-talk. 

On the other hand, dieting (or any form of disordered eating habits) can also result from insecurities or the desire to control our life.

The issue is that dieting can promote imposter syndrome by making us feel even more disconnected from our bodies and selves. This might result in a difficult to escape vicious cycle of shame, guilt, and negative self-talk.

But here's the good news: by understanding our thoughts and beliefs around food, we can start to unravel the knot of imposter syndrome as well. When we recognize that our worth is not determined by our ability to follow strict food rules or look a certain way, we can begin to cultivate self-acceptance, self-compassion, and a more balanced relationship with food.
